Singles, packs or infused?
A single pre-roll is the easiest way to try a strain without buying a whole eighth. Multi-packs usually work out cheaper per joint and often come in half-gram sizes, which is nice when you do not want to finish a full gram in one sitting.
Infused pre-rolls are flower mixed or coated with concentrate or kief. They hit noticeably harder than a regular joint, so if you are new or it has been a while, start with a regular pre-roll, or take a couple of puffs and wait.
Picking pre-rolls in Clovis, NM
Check three things on the listing: the strain, the THC percentage and the size. Half-gram and one-gram joints are the usual sizes. If you already like a strain as flower, the pre-roll version is a safe bet.
Pre-rolls count toward New Mexico's 2-ounce cannabis limit, same as flower. Most people never come close, but it matters if you are stocking up. Rather roll your own? Browse the flower menu.
Freshness matters
A dried-out pre-roll burns hot and fast. Look for joints in sealed tubes or tins, keep them out of the heat, and smoke them within a few weeks of opening. A dry joint still works, it just will not taste as good.
Buying for a get-together? A multi-pack of one strain keeps everybody on the same page, and a mixed pack lets you try a few strains before you commit to an eighth of any of them.
Rolling at home? Papers, cones and grinders are a few steps away in the smoke shop.
