Beaker, straight tube, bubbler or hand pipe?
A beaker bong has a wide, flat base. It is harder to knock over, holds more water and gives a bigger pull. A straight tube is the same width top to bottom, so smoke travels in a straight line and clears fast. Some people love that, some find it harsh.
A bubbler is a hand pipe with a small water chamber built in: smoother than a dry pipe and small enough to pass around the table. A hand pipe (spoon, chillum or sherlock) is the simplest thing in the case. No water, no setup.
What to look for at our Clovis bong shop
Pick the piece up and feel the glass. Thicker borosilicate holds up better to bumps in the sink. Check the joint size too, usually 14 mm or 18/19 mm, because that decides which bowls and ash catchers fit.
Percolators, the extra chambers with slits or holes, cool and filter the smoke more but add drag and need more cleaning. For an easy daily piece, a simple beaker with a downstem is hard to beat. Torn between glass and a rig? Read the bong vs. dab rig guide.
Cleaning your glass
Change the water every day or two. For a deep clean, shake isopropyl alcohol and coarse salt inside the piece, rinse well with warm water and let it dry. Screens, bowls and cleaning supplies are with our papers and accessories.
Owning pipes and bongs carries no penalty under New Mexico law. Like the rest of the store, the glass case is 21 and over, and there is plenty of flower on the dispensary side to break in a new piece.
